This past Tuesday’s Lego Challenge at Gather Love Grow was to build an Easter scene! Thank you so much for the challenge, Isabelle!

Easter and Christmas are our most important holidays as Christians. At Christmas, we celebrate our Saviour’s birth, and at Easter, we remember His death, burial, and resurrection. He did not stay dead! Because of what Jesus did for us on the cross and His resurrection from the dead, we can know for sure that we will go to heaven to be with Him when we pass from this earth and into eternity.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Romans 10:9

I asked my boys to build the tomb, the garden, and the people who came to the tomb after the stone was rolled away. They somewhat followed my instructions.

Matthias built the garden though Ian did add one flower, Ian built the two mini figures – John and Peter, and Corran built the tomb. I forgot to specify the stone being rolled away, and I asked for two angels and Mary Magdalene. Ian couldn’t find any white clothes for the angels so he didn’t built them. I do like that one of the mini figures seems to be holding a torch.

Next time, I will need to be more specific in my instructions so it is unmistakably an Easter scene.  They did a good job with what I told them though.

I hope you all have a blessed Easter Sunday!

They did a lovely job, Lynn. As you said, next year it will be better.

The traditional greeting and response on this day in my family, which is Roman Orthodox is:

    “Christ is Risen”.

    “He is risen, indeed.”

I wish you and your family the hope for a blessed day.
